The City of Cotulla intends to apply for funding from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). As part of the application, the City of Cotulla is conducting a survey to gather income information from residents within the city’s service area. Surveyors will be contacting households electronically, by phone, and in-person starting mid-November, 2023. The survey is only three questions long and asks for: 1) home address, 2) combined household income, and 3) number of persons living in the household. The responses to the survey will be used for funding decisions, so it is important for community members to provide accurate answers with one response per household. Responses are confidential and TWDB funding would provide future benefits to the community through improved water/wastewater infrastructure.

How does the Texas Water Development Board help?

The TWDB assists communities by providing low-cost financing for a wide range of water projects ranging from the planning to construction phase. The City of Cotulla plans to apply to the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and/or the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF).

What projects might this help fund?

· Wastewater treatment facilities
